Ralph "RT" Martinese
Ralph has been a hair dresser for 17 years, and is a third generation hair dresser following in the footsteps of his grandparents and aunt. He has worked exclusively in the Portsmouth area for that time but has done much freelance work over the years. His experience has run the gamut from being on the set of two independent films, magazine shoots, and hair for many theatrical productions. Additionally, he has been both behind the scenes and on stage for many hair shows.
Ralph has received training internationally in England, Italy, France, as well as domestically in New York and Boston. Having studied a variety of disciplines over the years from Sassoon, Toni & Guy, Rusk,and Sahag, as well as strong barbering techniques he has developed aesthetics and techniques that are as unique as he is. Often uninitiated visitors are surprised to see or hear him singing in the salon. Good-hearted with a kind word for all he sets the tone for a fun and relaxed work environment for both staff and clients alike.
